How we grade

Every ingredient is checked against these rules. One "avoid" ingredient caps a product at Avoid; cautions pull it down to Okay.

  • Aspartame, sucralose, Ace-K
  • BHT, BHA, TBHQ

  • MSG flavor systems

Caution

  • Seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, corn)
  • "Natural flavors"
